Carl Berggren,
Business Development Manager and Vice CEO

Organofuel Sweden (OFS) has recruited Carl Berggren as Business Development Manager and Vice President at the end of the third quarter. Carl holds a Master's degree in Management and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the School of Economics at the University of Gothenburg.
He has previous experience working in small research companies and running a family business.
During his studies, Carl also went on two exchange programmes, in France and Austria, where he mainly studied international business. As a Business Developer Manager, Carl is now conducting, for example, a deeper market analysis to ensure which ways forward there are and has, together with Erik Nelsson, successively evaluated these.

Carl has also been to Svebio's Biofuel Conference in Stockholm to make contacts and to get a clear picture of what is happening both nationally and internationally in the biofuel industry. Going forward, Carl will also do an updated techno-economic analysis to have strong and clear evidence for meetings with our future partners. These meetings are expected to start at the end of quarter 4 and are aimed at achieving commercialization of the technology.

XP Chemistries AB announces intention to list on Nasdaq First North Growth Market

Organofuel Sweden's subsidiary XP Chemistries (hereinafter XPC) intends to list on First North to finance a major expansion.

With its proprietary process, XPC can produce capsaicin at lower cost than its competitors.

"We are pleased to confirm the final step of XP Chemistries' journey towards a stock exchange listing. The company's focus on sustainably produced capsaicin (the hot molecule in chili) is timely. We saw this not least on Monday with the announcement of this year's Nobel Prize in Medicine, which went to research with strong links to the company's business. There is great potential for the Company's products and we stand ready to continue working towards our vision," said Erik Nelson, CEO of XP Chemistries, in a statement.

Organofuel Sweden AB has accomplished its spin-off XP Chemistries AB

Due to the good growth of Organofuel Sweden's (hereinafter OFS) Fine Chemicals business, it was decided by the OFS Board in September that the business will operate as a separate company.

This is on the grounds that Fine Chemicals has expanded at an unexpectedly rapid rate and thus requires dedicated management and staff to meet market demands for the company's products.

On the seventh of May 2021, the decision was turned into reality and the Fine Chemicals business area was successfully transitioned to the subsidiary XP Chemistries AB (hereinafter XPC). Under the leadership of CEO Erik Nelsson, XPC is committed to the continued development and production of the company's patented capsaicin products.

OFS continues unabated in its research and development of bio-based fuels and materials to meet the present and future needs for environmentally friendly replacements for today's fossil-based products that have a negative carbon footprint.
